How far out do forecasts go?

1 to 3 years, with 10 years of history for every commodity and major producer, and the whole pipeline refreshed weekly.

How do I know which forecasts to trust?

Every projection ships with a confidence range and a historical-accuracy score. A narrow range means a stable, well-modeled origin. A wide range means volatility or sparse data.

What is the difference between yield, production, and area?

Production is total output, area is how much land is harvested, and yield is output per hectare. We forecast all three, so you can see whether supply is shifting from a planting decision or a productivity problem.

Where does the data come from?

Blended from FAO, USDA/FAS, EUROSTAT, NASS, national government sources, and daily satellite and weather observations, with priority rules to resolve conflicts.

How is it validated?
